Our Doctors
Touraj Shafai, M.D. Ph.D. FAAP
Dr. Shafai is a highly trained and experienced Pediatrician. In
addition to his medical degree and Pediatrics board certification,
he has a Ph.D. in biochemistry and fellowship in biochemical genetics.
He is actively involved with the American Academy of Pediatrics and
currently serves on the AAP board in the capacity as the Chairman
of The Committee on Breastfeeding. He is also involved in the community
to improve the overall care of children, adolescents and young adults.
His current activities besides being an advocate for breastfeeding
include children's asthma, childhood obesity and Attention Deficit
Disorder.
He is currently serving on the Board of the Inland Empire Breastfeeding
Coalition, Children's Spine Foundation and the Advisory Committee
of 1st Five "Prop 10" Commission.
He has given lectures on the benefits of breastfeeding, child abuse
and asthma to local physicians. He has been Chairman of Pediatrics
at Riverside Community Hospital and Parkview Community Hospital and remains active on the
staff of both hospitals. In this capacity he has developed policies
to improve the care of hospitalized children.
Monika Mustafa, M.D. FAAP
Dr. M. Mustafa is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She is highly
trained and experienced in pediatrics. Following Medical School graduation,
she completed her Pediatrics Residency Program at Loma Linda University
Children's Hospital, Loma Linda, California.
Dr. Mustafa is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She
is on the active medical staff at Parkview Community Hospital and
Riverside Community Hospital.
Tannaz Hild, M.D. FAAP
Dr. Tannaz Hild is a board certified pediatrician who joined Inland
Empire Children's Medical Group in December of 2005. She received
her masters degree at Boston University in medical sciences, her
medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed
her pediatric training at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. During
training Dr. Hild participated in many projects which highlight her
areas of interest namely: preventative medicine, newborn cares and
adolescent medicine. Currently she is an active member of the American
Academy of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics
and is very involved in the Best for Babies Campaign in Riverside
County.
Dr. Hild is highly motivated in educating parents and children about
healthy living. She believes that preventive medicine is an important
tool in family health. Raising healthy children starts at birth;
Dr. Hild places much emphasis on newborn check ups and closely monitors
infants as they develop. In addition, Dr. Hild enjoys working with
adolescents as they face the challenges of adulthood and independence.
Dr. Hild is a native Californian who was born and raised in Southern
California. After completing her post-graduate education, she and
her family relocated back to California and currently reside in Riverside
County.
